Piet Desmet is full professor of French & Applied linguistics at the Department of Linguistics of the KU Leuven and KU Leuven Campus KULAK Kortrijk (Belgium), and director of the interdisciplinary research team itec. He is also core professor in education technology within imec and academic director of the imec smart education research program. Rachel Bawden is a researcher at Inria, Paris, in the ALMAnaCH project-team, working on natural language processing and particularly on machine translation. Her research interests lie in low-resource languages and scenarios, including robustness of models to language variation.

Clara Martin is Ikerbasque Research Professor at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (San Sebastian, Spain). Her main research focus is on language interactions in the bilingual mind. She aims to explore the relationship between speech perception and production, factors that impact multilingual speech processing, and how to influence and optimize second language sound and word learning.
